Call for Papers! B.D.A’s 11th International Conference

The Call for Papers is now closed, thank you for your submissions. The academic team will now Peer Review work and submitters will receive their results in early September.

I’m delighted to have taken on the role of Academic Chair for the 11th International Conference. The programmes for these meetings have always been unique is providing a great mix cutting-edge research on areas relevant to dyslexia and more practical practitioner-led perspectives and activities.

For this meeting we’ve put together a set of themes for the conference and attracted a set of world-leading speakers that we hope will make the conference unmissable for researchers and practitioners alike. Submissions to the conference are welcome in any areas that are relevant to dyslexia. We have also chosen some special themes of exceptional interest to the field, with great speakers and in some cases dedicated symposia.

Themes include:

  •  educational underachievement
  •  the challenges of multilingualism
  •  brain and genetics
  •  mental health
  •  comorbidity of other conditions with dyslexia
  •  interventions for reading

There will be plenty of interest for anyone with an interest in dyslexia at this meeting. Do come along and make the most of the wide range of talks and activities on offer.

Susan Gathercole,

Academic Chair
